Communicative course 6 months The aim of this course is to develop your conversational skill and you will also be introduced to the grammatical rules and gain an insight into the culture and customs of the country of the language of your choice. By the end of this course, you should be able to read, write, understand and speak the language of your choice in a variety of everyday communicative situations.
Basic course 6 months For those who are going to learn the language for the first time. By the end of this course, you should be able to read, write, understand and speak the language of your choice in a variety of everyday communicative situations. You will be able to get by while travelling in the country. You will also be introduced to basic grammatical rules and gain an insight into the culture and customs of the country of the language of your choice.
Intermediate course 6 months This level is for those who have language knowledge or who can :
  1. Understand a few familiar words and phrases by listening.
  2. Ask and give very simple information such as your name, nationality or order from a menu in a restaurant, such as booking a hotel and express likes and dislikes.
  3. Read and understand basic familiar phrases.
  4. Write simple letters using both the present and basic past tenses with some accuracy.
The aim of this course is to help you consolidate your existing language knowledge and develop it further by expanding your vocabulary, grammar and structures. The focus will be on developing your speaking skills in order to be able to take part in basic conversations of an everyday nature. You will also gain a deeper insight into the culture and customs of the country of the language of your choice. Please note that at this level you will be encouraged to speak the language as much as possible.
Advanced Certificate course 6 months This level is for those who have language knowledge or who can :
  1. Understand familiar and unfamiliar language in a variety of everyday situations by listening and reading authentic material.
  2. Hold a conversation and express simple personal opinions.
  3. Write letters using the present, past and future tenses with a degree of accuracy.
At this level, you would be expected to use the language constantly and with some degree of accuracy. Authentic material will be used to introduce you to more complex and unfamiliar structures and grammar. The focus remains on the development of your conversational skills and you would be expected to be able to express opinions and ideas with some degree of fluency.
